Do you have a vision for 2020?

If you don’t have plans for New Year’s Eve, then how about planning your life? Forget those failed New Year’s resolutions. Let’s make some real changes in 2020 together. Start by watching my YouthGevity Tip on how to create the life you want.

In the next year, the YouthGevity Tips will focus on how to implement change. What thoughts have to be discarded? What thoughts need to be nurtured? How to improve communication with the subconscious mind. This is not easy stuff. It’s even harder to get into a two to a three-minute segment.

I’m going to focus my energy on bringing you the information that has transformed my life over the years. I was lucky enough to meet some incredible mentors along my path who have helped me find my way. They shined a light to help me feel at home within myself.

I also want to focus on what you most want to know. I would love to hear your questions or suggest topics for the YouthGevity segment. I’d love to hear how you are committing to changing your life. If you want to share your vision boards, I’d love to post them. You never know how your journey may inspire someone else’s.

Every decision needs to be made from an empowered place. Living younger, longer is a choice you make every day in every single moment!

Vitamin D is your daily dose of happy. We get it from the sun being absorbed into our skin. Fun fact, #vitamind is actually a hormone and not a vitamin at all. Like all #hormones it needs good, nutritional fats to be produced in our body. Low-fat diets contribute to hormone imbalance, including Vitamin D, which plays an important role in calcium absorption and bone loss. 

It also contributes to our feel goods. Some of the first signs that you might be low in Vitamin D are depression, fatigue, weight gain, back pain, and hair loss. The simplest way to get your D is to go soak up some of the sun’s rays, but everybody knows sun exposure can cause skin cancer and it accelerates the skin’s aging process like #wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. 

As beauty experts, we recommend the daily use of sunscreen like our CORE skin care product, made in the shade to all of our patients as part of their anti-aging protocol. The flip side to all this great #sunscreen awareness is that more than 50% of the population is now Vitamin D deficient. Luckily it’s an easy fix. Vitamin D supplements are available at any reputable health food store. 

Other foods like sardines and cod liver oil are also a great source of Vitamin D. If you feel like Vitamin D could be standing in the way of you and your #happy spot, a simple blood test can check your levels. Beauty and health are related. They aren’t distant cousins. More like fraternal twins. They closely resemble one another and sometimes it’s hard to tell them apart. I married a nutritionist, who also happens to be Board Certified in Anti-Aging medicine. You might know her from the Youthgevity Tips with Tracy segment. Needless to say, I eat well. I also sleep well, and for the first time in my adult life, I exercise on a regular basis. 

Not surprising I have patients who knew me back when tell me I look younger now. Like most of us, I’ve had to make adjustments and different lifestyle choices as I’ve aged. We eat clean for the most part with little to no alcohol consumption, especially during the week. This is not to say we don’t go out and enjoy a good meal with a cocktail or glass of wine, but those meals are the exceptions. Because we eat well and don’t drink, we sleep well. 

There really is something to getting your beauty sleep! I can enhance people’s beauty with surgery. I can make them look younger, more vital. But I can’t give them vitality. This they have to do for themselves. Any surgical results I can achieve are further enhanced with lifestyle changes that enhance a more healthful life.
