Consultation – This patient came to see Dr. Mark Anton in Newport Beach because he was mostly bothered by his eyes, but was also considering doing a facelift. He had tried Ultherapy in the past but didn’t notice any significant change in his appearance. He happened to be in the middle of his weight loss goals and decided to hold off on the facelift until he stabilized his weight. In the meantime, Dr. Anton suggested that if he wanted to improve his appearance he could do his upper and lower eyes (quad blepharoplasty), neck liposuction and FaceTite to sculpt and tighten his jawline and neck.

Surgery – Before surgery, Dr. Anton marked the patient in the pre-op room at Starpoint Health surgery center. The patient received a quad blepharoplasty to remove excess skin from the upper and lower eyelids, plus the fat in the lower eyelids was repositioned over the orbital rim to reduce sagging skin, puffiness, under-eye bags and dark circles. Liposuction was applied to the face and neck for contouring and sculpting followed by FaceTite, a minimally invasive, non-incisional procedure that utilizes a calibrated delivery of radio frequency (RF) generated heat to promote skin tightening by way of the stimulation of muscular tissue contraction. The FaceTite procedure is effective for reducing the appearance of sagging skin (i.e. double chin, jowl line), loose skin and deep creases (e.g. marionette lines, smile lines or nasal labial folds, deep undereye creases or bags that traverse the face) of the face and neck.

Post Op Recovery – The patient went home after surgery with a neck wrap that he was instructed to wear day and night for the first 7 days post-op to reduce swelling. During his post-op appointment he was taught the “Lower Lid Stretching Exercises”, created by Dr. Anton as a preventative measure for contraction. Sutures were removed after 7 days, at which time the neck wrap was only required for nighttime use. The patient reports being extremely happy with his results and feels very refreshed looking.
