THE PATIENT

This 48-year-old patient from Newport Beach had a previous breast augmentation and lift elsewhere with another surgeon and was very unhappy with her results. She did not like the size or shape of her implants plus they were bulging and too full in the lower breast area – a condition known as bottoming out. When she met with Dr. Anton, they both determined that she was a good candidate for a breast revision with implant exchange and a secondary lift. Then, before her scheduled surgery she began having what she described as “weird pain” in her right breast. She said that it would come and go. This concerned her enough that she decided she would like to remove her implants and be all natural.

During surgery, Dr. Anton removed her 240cc intact implants but left the capsule in place to help give the breast shape and support. The patient had enough of her own natural breast tissue, but he also added 60cc of fat bilaterally to the upper pole for a little more fullness on top and a soft, natural curve. After removing the implants Dr. Anton performed the no-drain Super Breast Lift by tightening and lifting the internal tissues in the nipple areolar complex, lower breast curve and lower breast fold. This technique creates an internal “bralette” that provides a better shaped breast that holds longer over time than other breast lifts. Surgical time was 4hrs. Her post-op photos were taken 2 months after surgery.
